URGENT: PRAYER REQUEST


I write this in full favour pleading for your concern, help and cooperation to partner me in prayer for a dear friend, Terence who is going through a very difficult situation at the moment. I shall frame this entry in 3 sections - background, findings/concerns and prayer items. I shall do this in point form so that I may cover all the relevant and most crucial areas.

Background

Accident Scene


  1. 13th May 2007, Terence was travelling from Kelana Jaya.(frens apartment) Left sometime after 2am and headedback home towards KL. At about 2.25 - 2.30 a.m his car collided into a van which he clearly saw was heading inthe oppposite direction of travel as he, but on thesame side of the highway (the side which heads towardsKuala Lumpur from PJ) He doesn't know how the van got to that side of the highway as there is a barrier thatdivides both traffic flow. This took place near theMarble arch (Kota Darul Ehsan Arch)

  2. It was an extremely terrible accident, the two cars collided badly in which Terence manage to swerve slightly to the right, and having the commercial van crash right through the entire left side of the car. Basically, the dashboard was at the end of the car after the crash, the skidmarks were AFTER the accident and not BEFORE the crash indicating the intensity of the crash. Terence's car was a total loss. The commercial van's front was completely ruptured.

  3. The respective injuries suffered by the 2 drivers - Terence suffered from a fractured left eye socket, with 3 of his left fingers - the skin basically flapped up in rawness from the impact. Further injuries like minor concussion, bruises around the body and lower limbs. His main injury was still the eye in which he needed surgery. He had to be operated taking a graft from the hip bone to be inserted into the eye socket, to lift the eye piece back in order. His vision is somewhat impaired temporarily for the moment. The foreign exposure into the hip had been a difficult one as there was a tube inserted into the hip bone to drain out the fluid, blood and serum which affected his mobility and caused a lot of discomfort for him.

  4. The driver, Dhaljit Singh, was in a coma from the tragic accident. I said was because last Friday afternoon, he passed away. No idea who he is other than his name, basically it's a blank hole of this one. May his soul rest in peace.

  5. As a result of his death, there has been some SERIOUS complication with Terence's case.

  6. Terence was discharged on Saturday, and was expected straight away to report at the police station. He wanted to make a report also because he was in fear that the other party might have done so. He was frail and not in best condition to be serving his mind but he was faced with a tough moment....

Findings/Concerns



  1. Terence had a little tiff with the police a day earlier when he came over to pass the news to Terence saying that the driver had passed away. He was unhappy and felt that it could be a scare on the police's part plus the runners from the various panel workshops.

  2. So, when he had to serve his report at the police station after signing his report, Terence was quickly reprimanded by the police for giving a FALSE STATEMENT. Terence could not quite make out the reason why they were so adamant until they had a produced a very fade picture of the commercial van travelling on the CORRECT side of the road at 1:49 am from the Batu Tiga cameras.

  3. So we face a situation where a person has been driving on the right side of the road,got badly injured and also caused a death of another person. - this is what the police claims.
  4. The police basically wanted to lock Terence up for further investigation and he was frail and tired, and just weak - he was just discharged from the hospital. He spent 6 hours in the police station that saturday evening. I was there with him with some others.

  5. The police was basically sure of wanting to put in the lockup for his Kes Palsu.There were many attempts of something coming through yet we still stood our ground.

  6. In short, he got out after that night but is faced with the next statement reporting on June 6.
  7. It's wednesday today, they have yet to meet the witness. He has been rather evasive or seemed busy, Terence is worried about his situation, and the lawyer that he is attached with is asking him to hang on i.e. relax while the witness gets back to him.

  8. Thankfully, the lawyer, Justin M., is quite an expert with personal injury cases (ie. the ambulance chasers sort of cases) and had been a policeman for 6 years (yes, the connections do help here too).

  9. What happens after this is EXTREMELY CRUCIAL. I ask for...

Prayer Requests


  1. Pray for wisdom for the lawyer that he may have a sense of urgency in the case as if it his own, in his approaches to the case and whatever from a legal point of view in dealing with the neccessary challenges along the way

  2. The police may be lenient with Terence. Currently, they supposedly have evidence stacked against him and the harmony tune isn't exactly being played for Terence's best interest.

  3. That bribes and the runners who all wants a piece of Terence's current damage and making a profit of the case - may all that be diminished

  4. Pray for the peace, and healing for Terence's physical body, peace of mind and in heart that he may not trip over his worried thoughts and that he'lll continue seek from above. I am sure God will provide.

  5. Pray also for the status of Terence's job - as he had just moved into a new workplace in which the job role requires him to travel, and move around. He's lost a car, unable to drive nor take public transport because of his current situation. He is expected to see his boss next monday. Also the issue of money and further upkeep in future now seems stagnant for now because of his situation.
  6. please pray for my family that wewill be united . that the anxiety and hurt would berelieved. And that every move the family members makewould be the right move.

Dear friends and to anyone else who reads this, may or may not know Terence. I sincerely ask that you'll just keep him in prayer throughout this time. Pray also for me, as I continue to journey with Terence throughout this difficult period, pray for the wisdom and understanding and also patience in addressing all the challenges ahead. It's going to be a bumpy ride but I'm confident that God is still in control. Many are already praying, I only ask for one more...YOU.

    hope T is better now. obviously in light of the events going on around u, i find no reason to gripe.

    but im having such a badbadbad day it's not funny. and it's 00:15 n i should be sleeping.
